The Opportunity:

Our Finance team is looking for an ambitious Property Accountant to join our Industrial division, managing a portfolio of assets across QLD and VIC. Working within a close knit team, this position is well supported and will focus on business partnering closely with the Property Managers and other key stakeholders to manage the financial accounting, reporting and support successful financial outcomes across the portfolio.

As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:

• Month end tasks including accrue/prepay statutory expenses, property management fees and utility charges
• Capitalise rent incentives and amortise over lease life
• Conduct monthly wash ups for expense recovery
• Tenant related tasks including upload of insurances and bank guarantees; notify PM of upcoming and expired insurances
• Assist PM in maintaining tenancy schedule; review monthly rent roll
• Raise contract Purchase Orders and send to vendors as approved
• Track payment of utility invoices
• Preparation of annual property budgets
• Reconciliation of balance sheets; review Capex registers and prepare trading margin variance reports
• Reporting including assisting with audits and corporate reporting requirements

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

• Degree qualifications in Commerce, Business, Economics, and/or Finance/Accounting
• Qualified or part qualified CPA / CA
• Demonstrated experience in accounting, forecasting, and reporting within a large corporate or multi-national business, property industry highly regarded but not essential
• Strong skills in analysis, time management, and written and verbal communications
• Proficiency in Excel with strong analytical skills
